March Collective Haul

Happy mid week! :)
Exams are coming and have yet to start studying.
and i have been watching sephora hauls and Friends instead.
Friends is really very addictive and cant seem to concentrate on studying.
I hope to compete my studying for one subject for this week.

Anyway this is my haul for last month and it's kinda small because i feel that I bought alot of things in February and went abit overboard so i kinda dialed down last month and did not spend the much cos i am saving too.

1) Milani rose blush in romantic rose - got it at carousell for $10 only
I heard it was a dupe for Tarte blush in exposed and it really looks like exactly the same.
and i cant buy tarte blush as my skin reacts to their products. (which im kinda bummed about, cos their packaging looks so pretty and i heard their products is so amazing)

2) Browhaus Liquid Eyeliner -  got it for free after renewing my contract with them.
Dont ever buy it. it's not really worth the money.

3) Sephora Lip Cream in Marverlous Mauve ($24)
I actually wasnt planning on buying this since i wanna see how much i can finish a lipstick if i used it everyday. but i got tired of lipstick transferring and moving around outside my lips that i gave up. and i was so lucky it was instock when i was looking around in Sephora so decided to buy it and have been using it almost everyday. It is a super good product and i am a converted liquid lipstick fan. I wont be buying any more normal lipstick. I really hate the transferring of it. I may just finish my lipstick collection but i wont be adding any more of it.

4) Bio oil ($16) - i had alot of scars after my overseas trip. I have bought this and it really works. most of my new scars are gone but i think it may take more time for the old scars to fade.

I bought more lush products.
I am thinking of doing lush products review since I have buying their stuff almost every month and have been using them religiously. I may do more in depth reviews from now on lush especially like their masks, hair treatments etc. But i dont think i will reviewing their soaps as i feel the only difference they have is their scent and it purely based on preference already.

The snow fairy in this photo was for show only and it is not available anymore. It is only available during the holiday season.

1) Bouncy Bunny Shower Jelly ($16) - recently i have been loving the shower jellies from lush. i think they are fun to use and some unique from soaps and shower gels and cremes.
This is a limited edition product, it is for their Easter collection

2) Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask - this mask only last for 3-4 weeks and it's $28.50 very expensive for a mask. i will do more of a indepth review on it soon if it's worth it.

March Empties/Review

Hi everyone, 2016 is already going on so fast. we are already in the first quarter of the year. Have you made progress in your new year resolutions yet? for me,, im trying. haha
Anyway, here are the empties i have finished in the month of march. I am clearing a lot of my products and I think I am running out of masks. I feel like trying new ones but I cant seem to find or be interested on a hydrating mask. Are there any recommendations? I would really like to hear from you all. :D

From left to right and clockwise:
1) Clarins Body Shape Cream
it was purchased in a set and did not really have the intentions to purchase it. I dont think it made any changes to my body, dont see any firming or whatever. so i dont think i would be purchasing it full size.

2) Fresh Honey Mask
This mask is so so good. Its like after using it, you will really see the results straightaway and i feel its not the kind of mask that the effect will be short term. it is a long term thing. I feel that my skin is softer and more radiant. I wanted to purchase the full size of this mask but i was looking at the price online, it is so expensive. :0 It's $200+ for 100ml. Since I am only a student and the amount of income i get working for my part time job does not justify this crazy expense. maybe when i have a full time job, most probably i will purchase it. but this is very good. i would recommend it to you guys.

3) Essence Brow Gel ($5.90)
I dont think this brow gel gives a tinted color to my brow but i really like using it to set my brows. it really last long and my brow looks like is on fleek whenever i used it. I have yet to purchased it again and will be purchasing it again. I think this is better than purchasing something expensive like the benefit brow me gel. $33 for a small tube?

4) Origins Ginzing Moisturizer in Sample size
I feel that for a small sample size, 5ml, this lasted me quite a long to finish. you really need a tiny amount for this masks. I think this sample size lasted me for 2 weeks and i really enjoy it alot as it is a gel based kind of moisturizer so it really sinks in to your skin easily. I would definitely repurchase the full size but right not i have alot of moisturizer to clear, sample and full size ones.

5) Lush Snowman Shower Jelly
I love shower jelly from lush. This is one from their christmas collection and truthfully speaking, it was so hard to use as it was in a snowman shape and it was so large that i cant really use it as a whole. So i have to break it and it was so sad like killing the snowman. ): i think the scent does not a refreshing scent neither a strong comfie scent. I remember it has blackcurrent oil on it. Dont think it was very moisturizing so i dont think i will repurchased it again.

6) First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
At first i didnt like it because of the scent and its texture. I didnt use it for my face as the texture is so thick and eventhough they said it does not have any scent, it does and it is so smelly. I used as a lotion and it was so hard to apply but after sinking in to your skin, your skin feels like velvet. i dont know what is inside but my skin felt so smooth and silky. It is a good product but i dont think i would be repurchasing it as a body lotion. it is quite expensive for that and i feel that there are other brands that good and cheaper.

7) Kose Clarifying Essence
Yupp, 2nd bottle for the year. holy grail product, have yet to repurchased as im trying to use radiance pads to see if it works just as good.

8) Biore Make up Wipes
Very good product, i love it alot. It is better than other make ups wipes.

9) Body Shop Hand Cream in Cranberry
Nothing new, if you have realised. been clearing alot of hand cream every month. This is like part of me. :P. Dont think will repurchase this scent though. the scent is okay but i feel not that nice compare to other bodyshops.

10) Urban Decay All nighter make up setting spray ($23)
I purchased the small up to test out whether it is good and it is really good. my make up last longer, like it can last the whole day comparing to last time. I remember last time my make up will be gone in 2 hours due to the humid weather here in Singapore. So yes, repurchased the big ones.
And this small bottle lasted me 3 months so i think the big one will last me quite a long time. :D

11) Rexon Deodorant sample size
It is good but dont think i will be repurchasing as i love my current one right now and i have alot of stock of it.

12) First Aid Beauty Radiance Pad
this was the travel size version of it. It has 28 inside so i have use it for 14 days. This was to replace my kose clarifying essence. I dont think i have seen a difference to my skin but since i have only use it for 2 weeks, i will purchase the bigger size and finish it so that maybe i will give a more comprehensive review.

13) Clarins HydraQuench Mask - 15ml
I really like this mask a lot and i feel that my skin is really moisturize and i think i will repurchase the full one if i could not find any other masks to try once all my other masks has been finished,

14) Vaseline instant fair lotion
I have been using 2 lotions back and forth, dont ask me why. so once the other one has finished, seen in the last empties, i have finished this one too in a span of a month.
I will be cutting the bottle in half so that i can still use what's remaining of it.

Well, here you go guys, hopefully you've enjoy this post. i will be posting my haul soon for the march and i think i will announcing a new content series in this blog soon. :D

February Empties/ Review

Ugh. the lightning is so bad in my house for any single corner.
Sorry guys, i still testing where is the best place to take photos.
I know it's so dark but oh well, need to find the right place.
For February, i think this is quite a good amount, that i finish quite alot of stuff. :D

Body Lotion
1) Vaseline Instant Fair Lotion - I gotten it as gift and it's okay. I like the cocoa one more. I dont think it has the whitening effect that they are marketing about. I dont think i will be repurchasing this but i think i will repurchase the Vaseline Cocoa lotion one more as it smells so good and hydrating. Tip: Cut this product in half so that you can get some leftover lotion that the pump cant somehow get out. I will usually do this to all my products esp those cream ones and i will put it in those transparent jars. It usually last 3-5 days more!
2) The Body Shop Body Butter in Strawberry - this smells so so good but since it is for dry skin and such, it is so hard to apply and gets very sticky. so i only use it at night. i dont really like product but cos i already bought and i dont want to waste my money so i finished it. but yupp, i wont be repurchasing this again.

Others
3) Nivea Whitening Deodorant ($4.90) - this deodorant is so good. it really does have the whitening effect which i didnt even expect so this is like my holy grail product. already repurchased, seen in my February haul.
4) QOD Argan Shampoo ($44)- i bought this in a salon after a hair treatment. this is one of those shampoo, it does not have the foaming effect when you use it. Well, i dont think i will be repurchasing this shampoo as i felt that it made my hair drier? eventhough it has argan oil on it?

5) Fresh Floral Toner ($63) - at first i didnt like scent of it. the rose scent is so overpowering but i got used to it. i dont think it did anything to my face. but it is really pleasant to use but may not be repurchasing at all since i really want to use or try other toners.

Lush Products
6) Refresher Shower Jelly - the tub is so beat up already. ><  It is yellow color and they recommend you to put this product in the fridge and take it out for use. this is damn nice to use in the morning. it has those lemon smell,it is so fresh (that's why maybe they called it refresher). If you want to get anything from lush, i would like you to try this product! I would repurchase this again for sure. I think this is one in their permanent collection.

7) Love and Light hand cream - dont like scent and i usually use this at home when im doing my work. But if you dont really mind the scent, this handcream is one of the best handcream i have tried for moisture esp in air conditioned rooms. But sadly, i wont be repurchasing this again plus i have alot of hand cream to clear at the moment.

8) Rose Jam Shower Gel - this is one of their seasonal product. I think it is only launch during the Christmas season. Let me tell you, this shower gel has the most amazing, not overpowering shower gel and i dont know why, everytime i use this, it really leaves my skin so smooth and soft. Im actually quite sad that i have finished this product and have to wait until the end of the year to repurchase this again. But i really really love this alot. I will definitely buy this again.

Others/ Sample Sizes
9) The Body Shop Hand Cream in Glazed Apple - I think this is one of the Christmas collection and i have gotten this as a gift. I really like scent alot and eveytime i have used this, people asked me what issit and it smells so good. but let me tell you, this is not really very moisturizing but worth the money for the scent. I will repurchase it again if its available again during the end of the year.

10) The Body Shop - Frosted Plum - i have realised that ihave used so much hand cream in the month. 3 hand creams to be exact. wow. Got this for Christmas again. For this one, the scent wasnt strong and yupp, maybe this one i wont be repurchasing at all.

11)Biore UV Aqua Rich Sunscreen - Let me tell you, sample size sometimes are so good and generous. this one took me like 3 holidays before i finished this product. For a suncreen, this is very lightweight and not sticky at all. I may be repurchasing it again in the future but for now, i have so much sample size suncreen that i have yet to clear.

12) Maybelline Hypersharp eyeliner - Good product, i will be repurchasing it again soon but now would like to try another item. This is very good for beginner and i really like it alot. i have used it almost everyday for my work and have not smudge on me and such.

13) Origins GinZing Face Mask Sample Size (Full size RTP $50)- It was okay,i feel that there are other hydrating masks which has better effect like the glamglow mask eventhough it is more pricey. It does really do wonder. So i dont think i would be repurchasing this.

14)Kose Sekkisei Emulsion (sample size) - As said from the previous empties, this is very god product. i will definitely repurchase it in the future but for now, would like to try other moisturizer.

15) Philosophy Purity Made Simple One Step Cleanser (240ml for $36) - This is a great cleanser, no wonder alot of youtubers has been raving about it. it's those cleanser that is good for dry skin as it does not strip off oil from your face. i would definitely repurchase this product again but not now. i have alot of cleanser to clear and want to try other products as well! :D

February Collective Beauty Haul

I thought I can stop buying beauty products this month but I did some damage again.
Maybe in March, I will try to curb down abit more since from what I remember Sephora will have their black card sale on April. I will save money in March and go crazy in April.hahah.

My beauty haul are not only from Sephora, but also in Carousell and Watsons.
They are some products that I used everyday and I have to get some and there are some products I really wanna try. But this is such a huge haul so hopefully my bill this month is not that high. :x #problemsofashopaholic

So here my haul for this month! too much if you ask me.

Watson is having sale right now and I really need to restock on my deodorants (I thought so but I opened my drawer and I still actually have 2 more bottles. -.-)
But anyway, this is the Nivea deodorants in Whitening body shave and extra white & firm. $4.90 each. (Right now, they have a promo of buy 2 get 1 free.)
I actually like this deodorant more than other brands as the whitening thing they are actually marketing, really works.
When I first bought this, I actually just wanted to try it since they were having a promotion that time of buying 1 big bottle and getting a travel size one for free. so i bought it and never really thought of the whitening effect as I always feel it is a marketing gimmick and never really work.
BUT THIS DOES. I REALLY NOTICE IT AFTER MAYBE A MONTH OR 2 USING IT.
So i recommend you to try it. I used to have dark armpits (TMI hahaha) cos of shaving but this really works okay!

I've also gotten the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 20 Sand Sable and 25 Medium Moyen
Color 20 is more yellow tone and lighter and 25 is more pink tone and darker.
both of this shades doesnt match me alone as one is too light and one is too dark for my skin tone. -.-
So i  usually combined it under my eyes. It is very lightweight so it is only good for dark circles but not for concealing pimples.it does not do much of covering for that.
It is not available here in Watsons Singapore but it is available online like Carousell ($9) or Qoo10.
Carousell is a little bit cheaper.

So here are the swatches!

i gotten some mini lipsticks from Carousell since I have been wanting to try out their formula for these 2 lipsticks before committing to a full size one.
I have bought Burberry Lip Velvet in Nude Apricot and Marc Jacobs Lip Creme in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I wanted to try Infamous but I swatched it in Sephora and it's like a dupe for Nars Anna and I have that lipstick so I decided to buy the kiss kiss bang bang instead.

I have tried the burberry one but not yet for the marc jacobs. The burberry lipstick is very comfortable on the lips comparing to my Nars Audacious Lipstick but color payoff wise I like the NARS more. It does not last long on the lips once I drink or eat so I dont like it as much overall.

Swatch Marc Jacobs (Kiss kiss bag bang): LEFT - more pinkish
Burberry (Nude Apricot): Right - more brownish

Too Faced Love Flush in I will Always Love You ($40).
I sold my blush palette and I bought this instead as I was only using 1 color in my blush palette and it is so bulky and I bought a similar color to the one I was using.
I am quite abit sad though, I think I have only use it 3x and as you can see, the design of the blush is almost gone. ):
Mind you all the prices in Sephora has increased price. ): this used to be $37.
First impression:I like it alot. it gives a natural color on my skin but since Im not that fair, I have to apply abit more so the color would show.

1) Urban Decay All Nighter Make up Spray ($48)
I bought the small one first and I really like it alot. It really does prolong your makeup. Like really long. Since I was using my 10% off in Sephora, I decided to get it again in the bigger version even though my small one has not been used up. >.< I know it's gonna be soon, like 2 more weeks so it's better to stock up and get the discount right?

2) Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Lotion (240ml) ($42)
I bought this as I have a friend who gives me discount for this products.
Truthfully speaking, i hate the smell. I dont know it has any effect on my skin but i hate this product at all. I am just finishing it and for sure wont be repurchasing it at all.

3) Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Refreshing and Refining Moisturizer ($62)
Again,my friend has helped buy this product to try.
It has the same scent as the lotion but less overpowering.
It is also a gel consistency which i really love and it's glides and absorbs easily with my skin.
So as of now, i really enjoy using this product

4) Biore Make up Remover Wipes ($13.80)

Clarins Travel Size Skin Care Items ($25)
Gotten it quite cheap from Carousell, will do a review in my empties.
I bought this to try out the HydroQuench Mask and Gel as I am interested on purchasing the full size items soon once I  have finished my current full size skin care items.

First Aid Beauty (FAB FAVES TO GO) ($50)
Sephora.sg is selling it SGD56, dont know why there is a price discrepancy so it's better to buy it in stores.
I have been curious what is the hype of FAB that everyone is raving about in youtube so decided to try it.
I am also watching this youtuber: BeautyWithEmilyFox She does great lip swatches and she raves the products of this brand so decided to try it during my trip next month since it is in travel size.
It has the face cleanser, facial radiance pads and the ultra repair cream
I think i wont be using the ultra repair cream on my face as I have already opened it and I feel the consistency is super thick and I dont think my face would absorb it all. Like the Clinique Moisturizer (i hate that moisturizer alot! It gave me Millia) so I would be using it as a night lotion.

So that's all for my haul.I think it is too much for a month's supply. I will posting my empties very soon! so watch out for that! :D

January Empties

I think January was a good month, I was able to clear a lot of skincare products and 1 make up product. I'm trying to clear a lot of my beauty stuff as I have alot of items lying around.
(I'm sorry if the photos didnt turn out great as I am still in the process of getting Photoshop etc)
So let's start!

I have used up
  1. Maybelline Make up Remover for Eye & Lip  -  I have been actually using this quite a few times already but I always bought the smaller one in Watsons. It only cost $2! This one was given to me for free during the career talk by the company. I really like this a lot cos it really removes waterproof make up especially mascara. It removes them well! However, if you do not shake it well enough, it will leave a very greasy residue. I will repurchase it again when I dont have any make up remover to try on.
  2. Kose Sekkisei Emulsion ($86) - This is actually a moisturizer. Japanese and Korean products call their moisturizer - emulsion. This is actually quite a good moisturizer if you find cream moisturizer thick. I used to use cream ones and it was so thick on my skin that it will clog my pores and break out. ): So this was quite good. If you are looking for heavy moistuirizing, i won't recommend this. I would repurchase this again because I really like it is lightweight and it can be used daily and it really gives you the right amount of moisturizer it needs. But right now I would like to try new products.
  3. Kose Sekkisei Clarifying Essence ($44) - This product is a daily exfoliating gel. It is said to be part of the cleansing routine. So you have to use it after you have wash your face. It is before the toner. This is one of my holy grail products. I always repurchase this. This is should be my 5th bottle already. However, i do find it a little bit pricey for a 75ml bottle and I usually finish a bottle within 1-1.5 months.

  1.  Lush Christingle -  I gotten this product with one of their gift sets during christmas. it is a body conditioner so it is basically a lotion but used in a shower. I do find it very moisturizing product and it has a tingly sensation whenever i used it. I do find this tub to be small as I will use it for my whole body and i think i only got 3 use for this. What I dont like about this product is that after applying it, your whole body would be very very oily or greasy feeling. It feels like I didnt shower at all. So I don't think I would purchase any body conditioner anytime soon.

  1.  Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue ($50, i think ) - this is the only make up item I have used up. I realised make up is so hard to finished! haha. this is a very lightweight tinted moisturizer. I like it a lot cos even though it is only tinted, the color payoff is quite good. I actually still do have abit left and I put it in a jar. The amount was at the end of the tube so when you squeeze it, it will spurt out alot of product! I would definitely repurchase this again but I would like to try new items plus I have a brand new Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in my stash! ><
  2. Caudalie Hand Cream ($13) - I use hand cream like water! and I like to buy small tubes so it can fit in my purse easily. I like this handcream alot. It has a non-overpowering scent to it and it is really very moisturizing. You know some handcream, don't even moisturize at all and this is really good. I would repurchase this again once I finished up all my hand cream! I do have a lot cos I asked everyone to buy me handcreams for Christmas! #beingpractical
  3. Fresh Rose Mask (deluxe size) - The mask was okay. It has a rose scent to it. The scent was not over-powering like their toner. This is pleasant to use but I dont think I might repurchase it again in a full size tub as I find $90+ does not justify for this mask. It is good but I find there are better masks out there.
  4. Sephora Mud Mask (purifying & mattifying) ($26) - Everyone in youtube was comparing this to the glamglow mask and the price was like 1/3 of the mask. I loved the glamglow mask (black) and $92 was a little bit too pricey for me as I am only a student. So I decided to try this one out. I like the glamglow mask as it has this exfoliating function and it really helps to brighten my skin. For the sephora one, it does not have it at all but everything what the glamglow does, it also serve it well. The sephora one also does not have the burning sensation like the glamglow which is good! I really like the mask a lot as It has a lot of use for me and it really helps with removing oil from my skin when my face is super oily( i have combination skin). I would definitely repurchase this again. However, I would like to try new clay mask and maybe do a comparison for all the masks I have tried.

  1. Body Shop Shower Gel in Mango - Last one, this is okay. I used it only for the sake of finishing it. I dont really like using mango scent when I am showering as the scent is quite heavy so I feel like it has a sticky feeling but it does not. do you get what i mean? haha.

So that's all for my empties! I would now recycle these items at Origins counters! :)

1st Post of This New Blog

Hi everyone!

I have decided to create a new blog which me sharing my monthly beauty hauls and empties.
I decided to do that so that I can document myself on the products I have used up and decide whether I like it or not.

I would also like to use this platform to check on the amount of products I bought in a month cos sometimes it gets abit out of hand. ><

And maybe I would also do other beauty related post that I think it is interesting to do or any readers have requested!

Other than that, welcome to my blog!

Since it's the end of the year, look out for my monthly haul and empties soon!
