I think January was a good month, I was able to clear a lot of skincare products and 1 make up product. I'm trying to clear a lot of my beauty stuff as I have alot of items lying around.
(I'm sorry if the photos didnt turn out great as I am still in the process of getting Photoshop etc)
So let's start!
I have used up
- Maybelline Make up Remover for Eye & Lip - I have been actually using this quite a few times already but I always bought the smaller one in Watsons. It only cost $2! This one was given to me for free during the career talk by the company. I really like this a lot cos it really removes waterproof make up especially mascara. It removes them well! However, if you do not shake it well enough, it will leave a very greasy residue. I will repurchase it again when I dont have any make up remover to try on.
- Kose Sekkisei Emulsion ($86) - This is actually a moisturizer. Japanese and Korean products call their moisturizer - emulsion. This is actually quite a good moisturizer if you find cream moisturizer thick. I used to use cream ones and it was so thick on my skin that it will clog my pores and break out. ): So this was quite good. If you are looking for heavy moistuirizing, i won't recommend this. I would repurchase this again because I really like it is lightweight and it can be used daily and it really gives you the right amount of moisturizer it needs. But right now I would like to try new products.
- Kose Sekkisei Clarifying Essence ($44) - This product is a daily exfoliating gel. It is said to be part of the cleansing routine. So you have to use it after you have wash your face. It is before the toner. This is one of my holy grail products. I always repurchase this. This is should be my 5th bottle already. However, i do find it a little bit pricey for a 75ml bottle and I usually finish a bottle within 1-1.5 months.
- Lush Christingle - I gotten this product with one of their gift sets during christmas. it is a body conditioner so it is basically a lotion but used in a shower. I do find it very moisturizing product and it has a tingly sensation whenever i used it. I do find this tub to be small as I will use it for my whole body and i think i only got 3 use for this. What I dont like about this product is that after applying it, your whole body would be very very oily or greasy feeling. It feels like I didnt shower at all. So I don't think I would purchase any body conditioner anytime soon.
- Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue ($50, i think ) - this is the only make up item I have used up. I realised make up is so hard to finished! haha. this is a very lightweight tinted moisturizer. I like it a lot cos even though it is only tinted, the color payoff is quite good. I actually still do have abit left and I put it in a jar. The amount was at the end of the tube so when you squeeze it, it will spurt out alot of product! I would definitely repurchase this again but I would like to try new items plus I have a brand new Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in my stash! ><
- Caudalie Hand Cream ($13) - I use hand cream like water! and I like to buy small tubes so it can fit in my purse easily. I like this handcream alot. It has a non-overpowering scent to it and it is really very moisturizing. You know some handcream, don't even moisturize at all and this is really good. I would repurchase this again once I finished up all my hand cream! I do have a lot cos I asked everyone to buy me handcreams for Christmas! #beingpractical
- Fresh Rose Mask (deluxe size) - The mask was okay. It has a rose scent to it. The scent was not over-powering like their toner. This is pleasant to use but I dont think I might repurchase it again in a full size tub as I find $90+ does not justify for this mask. It is good but I find there are better masks out there.
- Sephora Mud Mask (purifying & mattifying) ($26) - Everyone in youtube was comparing this to the glamglow mask and the price was like 1/3 of the mask. I loved the glamglow mask (black) and $92 was a little bit too pricey for me as I am only a student. So I decided to try this one out. I like the glamglow mask as it has this exfoliating function and it really helps to brighten my skin. For the sephora one, it does not have it at all but everything what the glamglow does, it also serve it well. The sephora one also does not have the burning sensation like the glamglow which is good! I really like the mask a lot as It has a lot of use for me and it really helps with removing oil from my skin when my face is super oily( i have combination skin). I would definitely repurchase this again. However, I would like to try new clay mask and maybe do a comparison for all the masks I have tried.
- Body Shop Shower Gel in Mango - Last one, this is okay. I used it only for the sake of finishing it. I dont really like using mango scent when I am showering as the scent is quite heavy so I feel like it has a sticky feeling but it does not. do you get what i mean? haha.
So that's all for my empties! I would now recycle these items at Origins counters! :)
